The hotel was first known as the Alexandra Hotel, when Rennie inspected it in 1978 it was called the Skyway Hotel, and in later years the Tulip Hotel. The car dealership next door was demolished at the same time in 2015, and two adjoining hotels, StayEasy and SunSquare, built on the site. Submitted by Lila Komnick.
