House Battiss (circa 1950) from the pedestrian gate on the street boundary. The small rectangle visible on the wall of the house on the rhs was a Battiss copy of a bushman painting on a glazed ceramic panel. Rectangular glazed ceramic plaque (155 mm x 75 mm) made by Grace Battiss with the hand painted inscription 'GRACE & WALTER BATTISS GIOTTOS HILL'. The plaque was mounted at the pedestrian gate on the lhs gate post below the letter-box slot. The plaque was removed when the Battiss family sold Giotto's Hill. In the collection of Rain Battiss.
