Dié foto is einde 1862 of begin 1863 geneem tydens bouwerk aan die Stellenbosse moederkerk. Hager sit in die middel met die planne in die hand. Regs van hom staan die bouaannemer, James Jardine, van Worcester, met sy duimstok in die hand. Die voorman, wie se naam vergete geraak het, dui kamtig iets aan op die planne. (Morné van Rooyen 2015) This photo was taken at the end of 1862 or the beginning of 1863 during the construction of the Stellenbosch mother church. Hager is sitting in the middle with the plans in his hand. Standing to the right of him is the contractor, James Jardine, from Worcester, with his scale rule in his hand. The foreman, whose name has been forgotten, would appear to be indicating something on the plans.
