Twee hardehout style dra elke dakbalk oor na die soliede een-en-‘n-halfsteen muur onder die vensterbank. Die style is aan die muur vasgebout, wat op daardie punt met beton versterk is. Two hardwood posts support each roof beam onto the solid one-and-a-half brick wall below the window sill. The posts are bolted to the wall, which is reinforced with concrete at that point. Nylon spacers, cut to size out of a solid 45 mm diameter nylon rod, take up the unevenness of the wall. Sill height varies according to use of space—high where there are shelves against the wall or where privacy is needed, and low in sitting areas where looking out is important. Glass panes are fixed.
