Le Sueur was the father of the architect Geoffrey LE SUEUR. Born in South Africa where he married and had a family, he initially worked as Postmaster General of the Cape. Le Sueur turned to architecture and was in partnership (c1904-1905) with JGD HOETS (cf LE SUEUR & HOETS). According to his son (1989), Le Sueur built a few houses and executed a number of alterations. Le Sueur left Cape Town in about 1906 for England and lived in London for the rest of his life. He had an unusual ability for inventing devices and spent most of his time in London working as an inventor. He died in London aged about ninety-six.
