Died: 1904 01 03 Architect Born in Barnstaple, Devon, England Barrett was articled to Arnold Thorne, architect and surveyor in Barnstable from April 1881 until April 1885. He remained in this office as an assistant for at least three years, his address on becoming an Associate member of the RIBA in 1888 was in Barnstable. The date of his arrival in South Africa is uncertain; in 1903 the RIBA Kalender gave his address as c/o W WHITE-COOPER in Grahamstown. He died in Grahamstown a year later. ARIBA 1888.
