Not enough is known of this retiring man who was a partner in the well-known firm of MOFFAT & HARVEY. Harvey was born in Linlithgow and came to South Africa in 1902. In 1916 he entered the office of JA MOFFAT in Johannesburg; in 1925 he was elected a Licentiate member of the RIBA and in 1928 he became a partner in the firm (cf MOFFAT & HARVEY), a partnership which ended with his death in Johannesburg eight years later. His death was a severe loss to Moffat since he performed most of the firm's business, Moffat having been badly injured in a car accident a few years previously.
