When Gunderson registered with the Institute of South African Architects in 1927 he was living in Johannesburg. By 1951 he was working with COOK & COWEN. At some stage he worked in Natal. By 1959 he is recorded as a salaried member of the Transvaal Institute, still in the employ of COOK & COWEN. (ISAA mem list) He married Flora Elsie MacIntosh Paterson on March 16 1925.
