An architect by profession. Arrived in south Africa in 1935. He worked in the office of Gerard MOERDYK and was supervising architect for the construction of the Voortrekker Monument. He retired in 1952. It is uncertain as whether he formally registered as a practicing architect. He died in somerset West.
