Biography:

1923: Born 24 June in Cape Town
1940: Matriculated at Sea Point Boys' High School, Cape Town
1947: Bachelor of Architecture University of Cape Town
1947: Registered as principal of the partnership ROBERTS, SCHOLTEN, LEE and DEKKER located in Namaqua House, Cape Town.
1949: Married Eugenie Marie Perrod by whom he had three daughters and two sons
1959: Public Works Department, Pretoria, involved with extensive housing layouts in Devon, Mariepskop and Ellisras
1965: Joined H TUROK as partner in TUROK, DEKKER and DUNCAN, private practice, Cape Town where projects included factories, hotels, office blocks, group and cluster housing developments
1977: ZAKRZEWSKI ASSOCIATES Incorporated, Engineers, Architects and Contract Managers in East London where he did extensive work for Transkei and Ciskei Development Corporations
1978: Fort Hare University, Alice (Ciskei): Resident Architect, completing the design and construction of their new Arts Block and Administration Buildings among other projects
1980: CAPE TOWN CITY COUNCIL, Architectural section
1993: Retired
2006: House Strugo, Simon's Town (architect)
2017: House Slot renovations, Fresnaye (renovation adviser)
