In 1959 he is listed as on the staff of the School of Architecture, University of Cape Town and remained listed as an assistant lecturer in the staff registers from 1960 to 1963.

In 1969 he is recorded as being with the firm LIGHTFOOT, TWENTYMAN-JONES and KENT.

Hereafter he formed a partnership as co-principal, KENT, MISZEWSKI, HOCKLY and PARTNERS.

In 1977 he was Vice-President of the Cape Provincial Institute of Architects.
