An artist who designed artworks for the Ceramic Studio.
Trained at the Slade School, London, and at the Central School, London. 1919: Awarded a Slade Scholarship, and later a Central School Scholarship. 1926: Prix de Rome finalist. 1935: Came to South Africa as Lecturer at the Michaelis School of Art: founded the Dept. of Engraving 1938-57: Senior Lecturer, Fine Art Dept.
