Peter Kirchhoff was an artist, one of those that worked on the frieze in the Voortrekker Monument. He was also responsible for roundels with portraits of famous writers and scientists on the flanking walls of the Public Library in Johannesburg, reliefs in the Receiver of Revenue Building in Johannesburg, reliefs in the Germiston Town Hall, and decorative stonework and bronze reliefs for the Reserve Bank in Pretoria and for the Barclays Bank (FNB) head offices in Johannesburg and Pretoria
