He apparently also referred to himself as the "Graaf van Groblershoop." It is believed his son Martin? became an architect.

In 1959 he was in partnership with BLW FRANK (cf BERNARD, FRANK & HORNE). By 1969 he had joined up with JHC HOFMEYR (cf. AW HORNE & HOFMEYR).
