Kelly Arendse has spent 5 years at LOUIS KAROL. Before that she had 1 year internship at DESIGN SPACE STUDIO. She has travelled extensively to places such as India, France, Mozambique, Tanzania, Lesotho, Swaziland, Netherlands, Mexico, Belgium, before then Bahrain and Turkey. She has architectural experience in differing contexts namely the Western Cape, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban as well as Zambia and Ghana. Her architectural experience ranges from small and larger scale residential developments, hotels, malls, offices and urban design. The role she has played in these differing projects and context, from technologist to designer to project manager has exposed her to all stages of projects, in addition she has learned the process of architectural business practices and operations. She is currently (2013) an Associate at LOUIS KAROL's new Johannesburg Office.

She has completed the Green Building Council of South Africa Accredited Practitioner Workshop and is currently (2013) doing a course in Property Investment & Practice studies which covers aspects such as interpreting Town Planning schemes, understanding property law, analysing the property market, valuing residential and commercial properties. She completed a Masters of Architecture (Professional) and January 2013 and is planning a Masters in Town and Regional Planning.

She was elected a member of the 2013 GIfA committee.
