DipArch 1935 (Cape Town)

Born in Durban, Anderson entered the full-time architectural course at the Michaelis School of Fine Art in March 1928 at the University of Cape Town. He spent several months between 1930 and 1933 working in the office of WALGATE & ELSWORTH and in 1935 was elected an Associate member of the Royal Institute of British Architects, his papers being signed by James MORRIS, who had 'known his family' since 1931. He appears to have returned to Durban in 1935 since his address when he registered as a member of the Institute of South African Architects in 1935 was c/o MOFFAT & HIRST in Durban. In 1959 and 1969 he was in the employ of the Town Planning Branch of the City Hall, Cape Town. Anderson retired in 1976 and died in the same year.
