Menu Home Upfront Now Up Books Towns Structures People Firms Lexicon COLLCUTT, Thomas Edward Born: 1840 03 16 Died: 1924 10 07 Architect Born in Oxford, England Collcutt became a well-known British architect, becoming President of the RIBA in 1906. It was during his period as President of the RIBA (until 1908) that he was asked to act as assessor of the competition for the Transvaal University Buildings in Johannesburg, and he apparently came to Johannesburg to do this.
