Architect |
Born in Harare (Salisbury). Graduated with distinction at the University of Cape Town (1961). After using a travel award to see much of Central Africa, studied in Venice on an Italian Government Scholarship the techniques of Byzantine mosaic artists and craftsmen. Master in Architecture at Yale University at the time of Paul Rudolf. Established own practice in Cape Town (1964); early work includes individual houses which have been widely published. Practised as Douglas Roberts and Peter Loebenberg designing residential projects and commercial buildings throughout the country.
