Menu Home Upfront Now Up Books Towns Structures People Firms Lexicon WIMPERIS and EAST Established: 1898 Ended: 1904 Architect The partnership between EW WIMPERIS and HS EAST began in London in 1898; East came to South Africa in 1903, the partners having gained third premium in the competition for the University of the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Town. In 1904 the partners won the competition for the Phoenix Hotel in Port Elizabeth, the partnership appears to have ended about this time.
