Architect


Little is currently known about Weightman. In 1916 he is referred to as an architectural student at the Transvaal Technical College, then with the 11th Regiment in East Africa where, as a machine gunner with his compatriot kept his position at Kondoa for about 9 hours, for which he was awarded the DSM (Jnl ASA 1916, 1(3):35). He worked in Johannesburg as an architect in 1927. About 1935 he was working in Port Elizabeth and had returned to Johannesburg by 1942.
