Architect PE TREEBY and CH EDWARDS were listed in partnership in Juta's Cape Town directory of 1901. Neither men mention this partnership in their respective nomination papers, although Edwards mentioned in his LRIBA nomination papers (1911) that he came to South Africa in 1895 to work for a German Mining and General Business Company where he worked under PE Treeby, AVIA, for two years. He mentions having set up practice in Cape Town in 1899 but that there was not much business so he closed down after six months. The partnership between Treeby and Edwards presumably occurred at this point and was over before 1902.
