STREETER, Frederick Robert

Trained in England where he was articled to Herbert R Cowley, Southend-on-Sea for three years; he served in the First World War from 1914 to 1919 after which he enrolled at the Architectural Association for the second and third year course which he completed in 1921, becoming an Associate member of the RIBA in 1921. He spent three months with RC Verlander in Leigh-on-Sea, Hampshire followed by two months with Niven & Wigglesworth, London. He was employed by Slater & Keith in London later in 1921. About this date he came to South Africa. Nothing has yet been established about his career in the country. He left for Bulawayo (n.d.) and was listed as working there in the RIBA Kalender 1928/1929.
