SNELL, Alfred

In January 1911 Snell was articled to J Samson, FRIBA, for three years at Liskeard, Cornwall, England. He then undertook three months private tuition with GAT Middleton and spent two years at the Architectural Association in London in 1919-21. He was elected Associate member of the RIBA in 1921 and joined the Works and Buildings Department of the Royal Air Force in Uxbridge, England the same year. In 1930 he came to South Africa, registering as a member of the Institute of South African Architects in the same year. Currently nothing more is recorded of Snell.
