SCHRODER, Julius Richard

Was born in Berlin, Germany. His name is sometimes found spelt Schroeder. He was educated in Berlin and Hanover and served articles in Berlin. In 1885 he married and in 1894 arrived in the Cape Colony. According to Johnson (1978:390) he obtained first prize for Queen's Central Hospital, Cradock (n.d.) and second prize for Umtata Town Hall (n.d.).
