He designed a number of houses in Pinelands, Cape Town and was responsible for the reconstruction of Ida's Valley cellar, Stellenbosch (n.d.). Living in Cape Town, he registered with the Institute of South African Architects in 1927 and by 1935/1936 was practising in Cape Town from Pinelands Garden City.
