Born in Pretoria, Transvaal Colony son of MHO Preller (1871-1926) and OM Sandenbergh (1877-1977). He married Isabella Jane Fowlie Duncan Sinclair in Pretoria, Transvaal on 1926 04 07 by whom he had a daughter Jean Sinclair (1928-1986) (Family Search entry).

Was living in Pretoria when he registered with the Institute of South African Architects, c/o the Municipal Offices, Germiston. In 1959 he is recorded as of 108 Kerk Street, Johannesburg, Transvaal, probably practicing independently. He died in the Transvaal. Currently this is all that is known of this architect.
