A stone carver, modeller and member of the Institute of South African Architects, Pinker seems to have worked as an architectural carver and was employed on decorative work for several Public Works Department buildings in the 1930s. By 1928 he lived at Highlands in the Transvaal and by 1935-6 was living in Durban. He retired in 1945. He was responsible for the carving on the Colonial Mutual Life Building (architects HENNESSY & HENNESSY) in Durban about 1933. ISAA 1928.
