The partnership in Pretoria circa 1905-1906 between WC OMAN and JL PEDDIE. Oman was not listed in directories of the time but only in the Civil Service list (1904) and Peddie was listed in the 1905 Longland's Transvaal directory with an office address in Bureau Street. Oman's biographical file in the RIBA mentioned that the partners were responsible for the design of the Hotel Imperial on the corner of Andries and Pretorius Sts, Pretoria. It is illustrated in Dunston (1975:237), who states that the hotel was rebuilt in 1906, this must have been the job undertaken by Oman & Peddie.
