This home was originally the garage of William Fletcher, owner of Pentrich in 1910. It was bought by Spencer Mills from Fletcher's deceased estate in September 1917 and later converted into a home by CHERRY who added two bedrooms, a kitchen, servants' quarters and a verandah in 1922. Bangaloo is a misspelling of the Gujarati word bangalo from which the English word bungalow is derived.
