Nederduitse Gereformeerde Kerk
Roodepoort, Gauteng

Gerard Leendert Pieter MOERDYK: Architect

Date:1926-1927
Type:Nederduitse Gereformeerde Kerk - Church
Status:Demolished late 1970's

The previous church building of the DR congregation was inaugurated on 5 February after the building committee was appointed in 1911, but because of the financial problems of the congregation progress was very slow and work was often temporarily suspended. In 1938 the building was already too small for the growing congregation, but the means to enlarge were not available. It was demolished in the late 1970's because the town council of Roodepoort wanted to widen the road.
