Grosvenor Court was a Private Hotel and is now apartments (which it has been for many years). It was one of the earliest buildings constructed in the newly established Summerstrand. The building was intended to be extended to the left, so as to be symmetrical about the entrance but this phase was never completed. In the mid 1980s the site intended for the extension was redeveloped but the opportunity to recognize the scale and massing of the intention was not taken. Instead the rather under scaled town houses were constructed.
