Memorial to British soldiers killed during the Anglo-Boer War who were buried here and then later moved to other cemeteries.

The fence manufacturer was William Bain and Co..

THIS STONE COMMEMORATES MAJOR-GENERAL
A.G.WAUGHOPE BC CMG, WHO WAS KILLED
IN ACTION AT MAGERSFONTEIN ON
11 DECEMBER 1899 WHILST COMMANDING
THE HIGHLAND BRIGADE. ORIGINALLY BURIED
IN THIS CEMETERY, HIS REMAINS WERE
RE-INTERRED ON 19 DECEMBER 1899 IN A
PRIVATE CEMETERY AT MATJIESFONTEIN
NEAR LAINGSBURG.
