A terrace of 11 houses (no's 38 to 58 even numbers inclusive), which are actually made up of two separated groups. The first five houses (no 38 to 46) are identical, other than every second one being mirrored. The remaining six houses are similar to each other in detail, but step back to follow the curve of the original road. The timber detailing of the balconies and the plan form differ slightly between the two groups.

The buildings are a fine example of late Victorian Terrace houses and have survived with few alterations. They were listed as National Monuments in July 1983 and are now a Provisional Heritage Site.
