The bronze sculpture which depicts a Nama shepherd holding a newborn karakul lamb, and a karakul ram, represents Namibia's karakul sheep industry. Unveiled on 13 Sept. 2007, to mark the centenary of the karakul pelt industry in Namibia.

Transcription of the plaque below the sculpture reads as follows:
