Die hoeksteen van die kerkgebou is gelê deur komdt.genl. Piet Joubert en op 29 April 1899 kon die gemeente in blymoedige feesstemming die kerkgebou inwy.

The cornerstone was laid by Com. Gen. Piet Joubert and on 29 April 1899 the congregation in a cheerful festive mood inaugurated the church.
