Originally named the Ice Drome. Later converted into a cinema. The need for a space free of structural supports led to a roof suspended from a series of clearly expressed steel curved lattice trusses supported by canted piers and buttresses. Such experiments are a considerable enrichment of our contemporary scene' (Greig, 1971: 111).
