Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium was designed by FIFA World Cup stadium specialists GMP ARGITEKTEN with local firms GAPP Architects, Dominic Bonnesse Architects, Architectural Design Associates. The stadium was built at a cost of R2.05 bill for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and hosted 7 World Cup games including the 3rd place playoff. It has a capacity of 46,000.
