| This project together with the Park Oasis is located at the Northern end of Avenue Vladimir Lenin, a conflictual zone where aging residential blocks of about 5 stories, renewal and informal converge. References for the new-buildings were drawn from the dilapidated existing architectural examples that are located in this avenue, characterised by a minimalist styling and an absence of ornamentation. Maputo's lack of planning legislation allowed the client to sell the first residential block for commercial use. A new structural grid for open plan offices, orientation and external skin was altered accordingly.
