Architect and quantity surveyor who practised in Durban from about 1923 until his death in 1941, Langton was born in England and married in Johannesburg (n.d.). He entered into partnership with WB BARBOURE around 1923 in Durban (cf LANGTON & BARBOURE). The partnership continued until 1935. Langton appears to have worked principally as a quantity surveyor and he was noted as such on his death certificate. He was Deputy Mayor of Durban in 1935, continuing to practise in Durban on his own account from 1935. He was a member of the Natal Provincial Institute of Architects Council in 1935. Langton lived at 285 Montclair Road, owned a substantial amount of land in Montclair and had part-ownership in a block of flats, Berea Court. ISAA 1928.
