CHEETHAM, John Erskine Born: 1920 05 26 Died: 1980 08 21 Engineer BSc Eng 1943 (Cape Town) Better known as a cricketer, Cheetham was a qualified civil engineer and director of companies. He was educated at South African College School, and in 1943 obtained a BSc in engineering at the University of Cape Town, followed by a AMP at Harvard University, USA. He registered as a member of the South African Institute of Civil Engineers. During Worl War 2 he served with the SA Military Engineering Corps in Egypt and Italy.
