Was living in Pretoria when he registered with the Institute of South African Architects in 1933. By 1936 he was working in the office of Gordon LEITH. He signed the plans for House WD Boyd in Leith's office (1936) and Salisbury House (1935). In 1940 he entered into partnership with N EATON (NORMAN EATON & FAIR), the partnership was dissolved in 1945. In 1969 he was in partnership with ND PANTON-JONES (cf ALAN FAIR & PANTON-JONES).
His address at time of death was 68 21st Street, Parkhurst, Johannesburg.
