Obituary

Siebert WIID, Cape Town architect passed away recently in Vermont (Hermanus). He graduated from UCT and practised with Pius PAHL, Gilbert COLYN and Hannes MEIRING, settling in Camps Bay for many years. He was responsible on projects for Rembrandt in Stellenbosch and many purist domestic buildings in the 1960's and later, as well as Ruth Prowse Art Centre in Woodstock.

Siebert was an accomplished artist, living in France, visiting Germany and Austria as well as pursuing his art. He later retired to Vermont, part of the local colony of artists and writers there.
