PURNELL, Liam

Liam was born in Ton Bridge, England, as the second of four children. After completion of his schooling in Pretoria, he went to work in London for a year and backpacked extensively around Europe before returning to South Africa to study Architecture at the University of Pretoria. He received his Architecture degree cum laude and was awarded the coveted steel design award in his fifth year. He is currently (2013) an associate and design architect at MATHEWS & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS in Pretoria.

Career

In 1999 he joined MATHEWS & GERBER ARCHITECTS to complete architect in training requirement and was invited in November 2002 to join MATHEWS & ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS as design architect and senior associate.
