Precious Boni Makwe was born in Johannesburg and completed her BArch at the University of Cape Town in 1995. After a two year period with Gold Fields of SA, she joined TALJAARD CARTER and ASSOCIATES Design Architects, where she was involved in buildings for educational institutions like the Universities of Pretoria and Witwatersrand as well as the Department of education. She joined StudioMAS in 2000 where she has been the project architect for the large scale African Bank developments and the Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication for the JDA. She was also the project architect for the National Institute of communicable diseases and which, as with WSSD, has been published on numerous occasions.
