WALKER, Leonard Kendle

Born: fl. 1904
Died: 1941

Architect

Nothing is known of Walker's origins nor of his training. He was in partnership with HJC CORDEAUX in East London in 1904 but was listed separately from Cordeaux in East London in 1906. He appears to have been in practice on his own account. In 1921 he represented East London and the Border towns at the first South African Architects' Congress and seems to have opened an office in Durban in about 1924 where he is listed until 1926. In 1926 he appears to have withdrawn from Durban since he was listed practising in East London in partnership with his son. Walker retired in 1929, resigning from the ISAA in 1941.
