Was the son of the architect WR STEWART. He studied Architecture at the University of the Witwatersrand, graduating in August 1934. As a student he was also a member of the Alpha Club. After graduating he worked in the office of DM SINCLAIR in Johannesburg. In 1936 he entered into partnership with his father (STEWART, WR & AG). Not much is currently known about the work of the firm.
