SERCOMBE, Stanley NelsonBorn: 1866
Died: 1948 07 18
Was born in Fife, Scotland and nothing is known yet about his training. He was first recorded in South Africa working as a draughtsman in the PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT in the Transvaal in 1902. His name is at this point spelt as Sarcombe in the Civil List (1903). He was living in Johannesburg in 1915; by 1916 he was practising in Durban. He was probably on active service during the First World War since he was later declared a military pensioner. His independent works so far documented date from 1930 and were built in Durban. He died at Eshowe Hospital, Zululand.
