ROHDE, GustavBorn: fl. 1889
Nothing is known of Rohde's training. He was in partnership with WITTE (cf ROHDE & WITTE) in Bloemfontein in about 1889, and was the architect of the Dutch Reformed Church building, Church and First Sts, Ladybrand according to Roodt (1987:105); the cornerstone of this building was laid in 1889. An article in De Ruiter (February 1948) gives the name of the architect of this building as Gustav ROODE.
