The son of Saul MARGO, he trained at the School of Architecture, University of the Witwatersrand from 1931 to 1933. In 1933 he joined the office of HANSON, TOMKIN & FINKELSTEIN, leaving to continue his studies at the University of Liverpool School of Architecture in 1934 from where he qualified; during this period he toured Europe in 1935 and Palestine in 1937. By 1938 he had returned to Johannesburg. He joined his father in partnership. P BREEDVELD, witness to HD Margo's application for associate membership of the RIBA, was a member of this partnership (cf. MARGO, BREEDVELD & MARGO). By 1959 BREEDVELD must have left because the prictice was then MARGO & MARGO.
